reported the relaxation effects of L-Theanine (Suntheanine) on humans.
Oral intake of L-Theanine in humans caused a feeling of relaxation, and
brain waves (EEG) changed to alpha waves in the occipital and parietal
parts of the brain. Alpha waves are usually on achieved with deep
meditation. The brain waves changed within 40 minutes of ingestion.
Dosages ranged between 50 to 200 mg.†
To induce relaxation the suggested does of L–T is 1 capsule, and effects
