You know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain
You know it's three weeks, I'm going insane.
You know I'd give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind.
~ The Beatles "I'm so tired"

Help for sleeplessness

Occasionally we all have stressful days-deadlines at work, too much to do at home, concerns about our kids-and these concerns can follow us home disrupting our evening and potentially our sleep. You may be dead tired, but you just can't stop thinking about "everything". The reason we can’t shut-off the brain is because two areas in the brain, the locus coeruleus and the amygdala, are still recycling and releasing stress messages. The stressful events of the day over-stimulate the neurons.

Sleep Link helps your brain download stress so you can sleep.
Sleep disorders occur when several neurotransmitter (brain chemicals) become out of balance due to stress/anxiety or depression. Sleep Link contains a special class of neuro-nutrients that act as precursors to inhibitory neurotransmitters. These neuro-nutrients send signals to the limbic system where all emotions are stored. Sleep Link restores the chemical balance and allows you to sleep through the night. As levels are restored, you get a restful night’s sleep and awaken feeling positive and relaxed.

To help shut the brain down quickly when you want to calm down but aren't ready for bed, take two to three HTP10 capsules and two L-Theanine along with one P5P to expedite the aminos into the brain. This combination shuts down stress bursts and calms the over-stimulated brain, which will allow you to stop rehashing the day and relax.

Benefits of natural remedies:

OTHER REMEDIES

Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep or falling asleep quickly but waking up after only a few hours and then unable to fall back to sleep. If your melatonin levels are low you will have difficulty falling asleep. Melatonin is a hormone produced in the brain that helps regulate sleep and holds promise as a remedy for insomnia, high blood pressure, hypertension and jet lag.

A deficiency of Magnesium will cause insomnia. If you are experiencing insomnia always add magnesium at bedtime. You can safely take this with anything else you might be taking. Take 2 capsules of Mag Link or 25 drops of Mag Chlor in a small glass of juice 30 minutes before bedtime. For additional help open 2 capsules of L-Theanine (LT) and dissolve in the juice with the Mag Chlor. Studies have shown people who take Theanine at bedtime report getting a more restful night's sleep.

Insomnia is sometimes caused by a defect in the serotonin metabolism pathway. Serotonin is a brain chemical that plays and important role in helping us fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night. Serotonin is manufactured in the brain from the amino acid 5HTP. In clinical and laboratory studies, EEG results showing immediate transition of brain waves from alpha to theta (first stage of sleep) using 5HTP. 5HTP also has shown to increase deep sleep time without increasing total sleep time. Sleep Link with 5HTP and Melatonin, will raise your serotonin level naturally.

Depression can cause a person to want to sleep all the time or to not be able to sleep at all. Try Mood Sync or L-Theanine during the day to keep feelings of stress under control. Use Sleep Link at bedtime.

Perimenopause and menopause
There are several things that might be helpful for sleep if this is the problem. Transitions to balance the hormones; Mellow Mind when taken at bedtime promotes a deep sleep. Mellow Mind contains Ashwagandha, an herb used in India for centuries. As a central nervous system calmer, it promotes a deep restful sleep for everyone. It is especially helpful for people coming off prescription sleep aids and women in menopause who are experiencing sleep difficulties.

Have your DHEA levels checked (testing available from Pain & Stress Center). Many of our customers use our DHEA product as hormone replacement supplement.

Nicotine
The stimulant nicotine affects sleep like caffeine. Smokers have more sleep disturbances than nonsmokers. Smokers also have difficulty falling asleep and decreased sleep duration. Even a nicotine patch can disrupt sleep. Try Sulfonil.

"Sleep is an excellent way of listening to opera" -James Stephens

Make it a habit to listen to relaxing music as you fall asleep.
If unable to sleep within 30 minutes, get out of bed and perform a soothing activity, such as listening to soft music or reading, but avoid exposure to bright light during these times.

A study published in the Journal of Advanced Nursing, February 2005, demonstrated that listening to soft, slow music causes physical changes that aided in restful sleep, such as lower heart and respiratory rates. The effects appear to be cumulative with increasing benefits as subjects continued to use music to relax with.
