L-Phenylalanine
Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid, which means that it is essential to human health but cannot be manufactured by the body. The body converts phenylalanine into tyrosine, another amino acid essential for making proteins, certain brain chemicals, and thyroid hormones.
Phenylalanine is a precursor to catecholamines.
Conversion path: Phenylalanine > Epinephrine > Dopamine > Norepinephrine > Dopa

Caution: Avoid taking L-phenylalanine or if you have cancer or PKU. These amino acids fuel certain cancer growths such as a melanoma. Phenylalanine supplementation may increase or normalize blood pressure. Insomnia from over stimulation may result if LP is taken too close to bedtime.
